Virtuoso

Written for 5-6 octave handbell choir and 5 octaves of handchimes.  Level 6.  Part of the Raleigh Ringers Virtuoso Series.  The live recoding was performed at the Raleigh Ringers “Virtuoso Experience” under the direction of Dr. William Payn. Featuring running sixteenth notes, tricky chime/bell doublings, and dynamic extremes, this piece will challenge even the most advanced of handbell musicians. For the ensemble looking to show what they’re really capable of, however, it is indeed a worthy challenge, and one to inspire awe amongst audiences and other handbell musicians alike.
